House of the Dragon is set to premiere on HBO’s streaming service HBO Max in 2022. The company released a trailer on Oct. 5 of the show, which is a prequel to its smash hit Game of Thrones. The saga of the Targaryen family, the bloodline of one of the original show’s key protagonists, Danaerys, as it slips into civil war, will be chronicled in the 10-episode series. Prince Daemon Targaryen will be played by Matt Smith, who is best known for his performances in The Crown and Doctor Who.
