Casey Anthony Wants to “Tell Her Truth”

Casey Anthony aka “the most hated mom in America” wants to speak out about her life.

This claim was made by a friend, who stated that the 36-year-old wants to tell her story on her terms for an upcoming documentary about her experiences.

“She’s waited almost 14 years to really talk deeply about her experience. She’s now getting ready to tell her truth. She feels like it’s time,” said the source.

How it all began…

In 2008, Casey was arrested for the disappearance of her daughter Caylee, who was just two years old at the time. The child was last seen on June 16, 2008. Caylee was first reported missing by Casey’s mother on July 15. Casey told the police her daughter had disappeared with a babysitter.

For almost six months, volunteers conducted a nationwide search for the child and followed up on hundreds of leads. On December 11, a person working in a wooded area near Casey’s home found skeletal remains that were later discovered to be Caylee’s.

Experts testified that air samples showed that decaying human remains were present in Anthony’s trunk. Casey was charged with murder, and her trial was a media spectacle.

Casey – A liar but not a murderer

Towards the end of her trial, prosecutors proved that Anthony was a liar but convinced the jury of little else. The prosecutors failed to establish how Caylee died, and couldn’t find Casey’s DNA on the duct tape they said was used to suffocate the child.

After the trial, the jury found Casey Anthony not guilty of first-degree murder, aggravated manslaughter, and aggravated child abuse. She was charged with four counts of lying to police and served three years in prison while awaiting trial. Two counts of lying were later dropped.

The lies never end

Anthony lied to police: about working at Universal Studios; leaving Caylee with a babysitter; about informing two people, both of them made up, that Caylee was missing; about receiving a call from her daughter the day before she was reported missing.

When the trial ended, lead defense attorney Jose Baez stated that the little girl drowned and that Casey’s father covered that up – and sexually abused his daughter.

Casey has only spoken out once about the case. In an interview, she said, “Based off what was in the media, I understand the reasons people feel about me. I understand why people have the opinions that they do. I don’t give a s— about what anyone thinks about me, I never will. I’m OK with myself, I sleep pretty good at night.”
